EPA Water Testing

The EPA continues to work closely with federal, state, local and Tribal partners to respond to communities and help them recover from Hurricane Helene. The EPA is focused on providing support for water systems and is helping to clean up storm debris.

D-SNAP for Helene Relief

People living in 25 western NC counties as well as members of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians living in zip code 28719 impacted by Hurricane Helene can apply to receive a one-time benefit to help buy food through the Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP).
