Our Mission
On the morning of Friday, September 27th, 2024, residents of the Blue Ridge Mountains woke to an unprecedented level of destruction caused by Hurricane Helene. From the rubble of the storm's warpath, the Appalachian Rebuild Project was born. Our mission is to restore our region by coordinating volunteer efforts with local boots-on-the-ground information.
About Us
The Appalachian Rebuild Project (ARP) is an ongoing effort from a collaborative group of volunteers, government assets, NGOs, veterans, and veteran nonprofits who have stepped up to provide relief and support for western Carolina communities affected by Hurricane Helene. ARP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rebuilding the Appalachian region through volunteerism, continued collaboration across the community, and hyper-localized economic development.
